This Bold House

October 7, 2008

Nu Goove Records was an awesome, late ’80s / early ’90s dance music label from New York City.

They put out really cool, soulful tech-house and almost everything that this label released was instantly grabbed up by New York City DJs at the time (me included).

Nu Groove’s tracks where the early predecessors to what Fancy now calls, “blog house.”

Also, in the linked video, please note New York City dancehall stalwart Bobby Konders. Not sure if a lot of you know this, but Bobby made some really amazing deep house records back in the day. I’ll make another post about that later on.

For now though, enjoy learning about Nu Groove.
